Jay Flight SLX7 184BS by Jayco

The Jay Flight SLX7 184 BS by Jayco is beautifully designed for a family. This 21’ 6’’ trailer can be pulled behind any large SUV or truck with enough towing compacity. For the Jayco to be as short as it is, it has many interior features. One feature includes a private bathroom consisting of a tub/shower and marine toilet. There is also plenty of storage in this camper. This trailer has stunning maple cabinets located around the entire ceiling of the trailer for all of your camping needs.

The kitchen continues with the rich maple cabinets. The kitchen countertops complement the cabinets with their marble look. There is enough countertop space available for food prep along with a sink and a two-burner stovetop. Above the stovetop is a hood for ventilation, a microwave and another cabinet for storage. Below the kitchen counter is a mini-refrigerator and additional cabinets. Beside the kitchen is a floor to ceiling pantry. Across from the kitchen is the cozy dining area in the slide out area.

This travel trailer has three separate sleeping areas. The front of the trailer has a queen-sized bed. This sleeping area is not closed off to the rest of the trailer but there is an optional privacy curtain. Behind the queen bed is a large window spanning the width of the trailer to let in a lot of natural light. The second sleeping area is in the rear of the trailer. This area has a set of twin bunk beds. Both bunks have a 300-pound weight limit and 4-inch thick mattresses. There are also wall lights located in each bunk, perfect for late-night reading. The Transcend Xplor 243 BH by Grand Design is just that, it’s grand! There are so many features in this travel trailer, perfect for a family.

Let’s start with the beautifully designed kitchen. I was in awe of the amount of countertop space. This L-shaped kitchen has two separate countertops, you rarely see this in a trailer this size. The main countertop holds the three-burner stovetop and oven. I was extremely excited to see an oven in this kitchen, as well. Above the range is the residential-sized microwave. There is also plenty of additional countertop space next to the stove for prep. The second countertop has a large, deep, long, stainless steel sink. There is also a bit of countertop space next to the sink for additional storage space. Across from the kitchen is a regular-sized trailer 7 cubic fot refrigerator and freezer. Beside the refrigerator is a spacious dining table with bench seating. 

Next to the kitchen are the roomy bunk beds. The head of the bunk beds are hidden by a wall for privacy. Each bunk has a plush mattress and cabin lighting. Next to the foot of the bunk beds is a floor to ceiling wardrobe for their occupants to share. At the opposite end of the camper is a separate bedroom with a queen-sized bed. There are end tables on each side of the bed with storage cabinets located below. Beside the master bedroom is a private bathroom. The bathroom has a large stand-up shower, a sink with storage, and a foot flush toilet.

Outside the trailer is a great outdoor kitchen which includes another 1.6 cubic foot refrigerator. There is a propane hook up for an exterior grill as well.

This trailer has it all for the camping loving family and can be towed behind any large SUV or truck with enough towing compacity.

The 2185 by Lance Campers has all the features of a larger camper but is just 25’ 8″ in length. This camper not only has a queen-sized bed but it also has a set of bunk beds that can hold three people. This camper is perfect for a large family.

The head of the camper has a queen-sized bed with a privacy curtain. There are floor to ceiling cabinets on either side of the bed with a cut out in the center of the cabinets large enough for a drink to sit. There are also numerous windows surrounding the master bedroom and throughout the cabin. One unique feature is the cutouts on the wall beside the bed for newspapers or magazines.

The center of the trailer has a spacious kitchen and dining table. The dining area slides out widening the trailer. The dining area has a large table and a U-shaped bench with enough seating for six people. Across from the dining table is the compact kitchen. The kitchen has a three-burner stove, oven, hood vent for ventilation, microwave, deep sink, and a tall faucet with a pull-down sprayer. There are plenty of cabinets for storage in the kitchen. Another great feature is the retractable countertop space. At the end of the kitchen, there is an additional square countertop piece that can retract when not in use. Beside the kitchen is the full-sized trailer refrigerator including a freezer.

The rear of the camper is large enough to house a three-person bunk with a bathroom. The bunk beds are partially hidden by a wall for privacy and there are wall lights on each level. When not in use, the bottom two bunks can be folded up for additional space for taller items such as bikes. There is a sturdy ladder attached to the bunk beds for easy access to the top bunk. The bathroom consists of a standup shower and a marine-grade toilet. There is a door for privacy while in the bathroom. Outside of the bathroom door are the separate hand sink, mirror, and cabinet storage.

This camping trailer has it all for a family trip. This trailer can be pulled by any large SUV or truck with enough towing compacity.

As you walk into the interior of the trailer you will notice how spacious it feels. The interior has one slide-out for additional room. The dining table and bench seating is the area of the trailer that slides out. Across from the dining table is the kitchen. The kitchen is very compact but it has everything except an oven. There is a cooktop stove with a hood vent and a microwave above it. There is limited countertop space due to the large, divided sink. There is also a residential-sized faucet and pull-down sprayer. This kitchen is filled with cabinets for storage. Beside the stove is the tall refrigerator and freezer.

There are three sleeping options in this trailer. The head of the trailer hosts the queen-sized bed with a privacy curtain. There are several cabinets surrounds the queen bed for storage. The rear of the trailers hosts the bunkbeds. The bunk beds are partially hidden by a wall for privacy. The bunk beds and queen bed come with plush, comfortable mattresses. THe dinette can also convert to a bed to sleep two more guests. Beside the bunk beds is the roomy bathroom. The bathroom has a large tub/shower, toilet, and sink with vanity.

Explore EVO 177BQ by Forest River Inc.

The Explore EVO by Forest River is one of the simplest trailers on the market. The interior has a clean, simple look without many bulky cabinets disrupting the look of the beautiful walls. However, it does have plenty of storage with its pass-through storage located underneath the width of the interior of the trailer. This trailer does not have a slide-out making it easy to use in a narrow camping space.

The interior has three sleeping areas. There is a large queen-sized bed in the front of the trailer, a set of bunk beds in the rear of the trailer, and a dinette which can also convert into a bed. The head of the bunk beds are partially hidden by the bathroom wall. Both beds contain a comfortable mattress.

Beside the bunk beds is the compact bathroom. The bathroom contains a tub/shower, toilet, and sink with vanity. At the foot of the bunk beds is a wall separating the beds from the dining table. There is a compact dining table and two bench seats.

Across from the dining area is the kitchen. The kitchen has a wide, deep sink and tall faucet with sprayer. Beside the sink is a three-burner stove and above the stove is a microwave. There is a tall refrigerator and freezer located on the left side of the kitchen. This kitchen does have plenty of cabinet space for storage.

This compact trailer has everything needed for a family camping trip.

Open Range Conventional OT26BH by Highland Ridge RV

The Open Range Conventional by Highland Ridge is nothing but wow! This 29-foot trailer has the length, the upgrades and features sure to impress.

There are two bedrooms in this trailer. The first bedroom, the master, has a queen-sized bed and a privacy door. There are plenty of cabinets around the head of the bed for storage. Towards the back of the trailer, there is a set of bunk beds, but not just twin bunk beds. Both bunks hold a double-sized mattress and they both have a 600 lbs weight limit. This is a unique feature in the Open Range. Most trailers with bunk beds are just big enough for a twin-sized bed. In addition to those sleeping areas, there is also a folding couch and dinette. This model can sleep lots of people!

The rest of the interior is so spacious. There is a plush couch with seating for three, a long dining table with bench seating, and a full-sized bathroom. When the bathroom door is shut, it hides the tub/shower and toilet. The sink and vanity are located just outside the bathroom door so someone can get ready while another is in the shower. Beside the bathroom is the galley kitchen. The main feature of the kitchen is the residential size sink and faucet. The sink has two deep compartments and a tall faucet. The countertop also holds the three-burner stove and oven. Above the stove is the microwave and cabinets for storage. Beside the kitchen is the large refrigerator and freezer.

This large trailer can be pulled behind any truck with the right towing compacity.

The Coleman Lantern by Dutchmen has so many features fit for a large family. The open entry flows into the kitchen and living area. Immediately to the right, you will see the built-in cabinets made for a TV and electronic devises. Across from the built-ins, you will see the extra-large u shaped dinette dining table that can double as a comfy sitting area to watch TV, perfect for rainy nights. The dining area does slide out for extra room.

The kitchen has an open concept feeling with the L-shaped countertops. There is a deep, two-compartment sink with a tall faucet. One feature to point out is the light above the sink and window behind the sink. Both great features for whoever is stuck washing dishes! Next to the sink is the three-burner stove and oven. The Flying Cloud by Airstream has the iconic Airstream look. However, these silver trailers have all of the modern amenities.

This trailer works for a small family. There is not a separate queen or king-sized bedroom in this trailer, but there is a set of bunk beds. The bottom bunk is a queen-sized bed, great for the parents. While the top bunk is a twin-sized bed, perfect for a child. The top bunk has an easy access ladder and guard rail for safety. Beside the sleeping area is the functional bathroom. There is a door for privacy that separates the shower and toilet from the sink and vanity. This is a great feature for a family so that two people can get ready at once.

The rest of the interior houses the kitchen, dinette area, and several cabinets for storage. There are two floor to ceiling cabinets that are meant to be used as wardrobes. Both cabinets are tall enough for hanging clothes. The kitchen is small but functional. The left of the countertop holds the round, deep sink and to the right is the three-burner stovetop. Above the stove is the microwave. Across from the kitchen are the refrigerator and freezer. There is also a large L shaped dinette. Part of the dinette can be used as another twin bed for a child.

One great feature to the Airstreams are all of the windows. The windows bring in so much natural light. There is also a large skylight in the main interior of the cabin. All of the windows open out to let in the fresh air. There are also roll up and down blinds for privacy. The Airstream also has some small thoughtful touches throughout the trailer. One of the small touches is the slide shoe storage located under the dinette area. This is great for a large family. It is located as soon as you walk into the trailer. Everyone can leave their shoes in one spot and not track dirt throughout the trailer. You will also not be stepping over shoes as you walk in the door.

The classic Airstream has so many upgrades and features for a family. It is more expensive than other trailers but well worth it.
